We’ve got another award!

We’re delighted here at Reeds to see that we got the full 5 Stars following our Food Hygiene inspection carried out by the Food Standards Agency at the start of April. This is a new scheme that has been set up to help you choose where to eat out or shop for food by giving you information about the hygiene standards in restaurants, pubs, cafes, takeaways, hotels, supermarkets and other food shops (you can search the Food Standards Agency’s website to find who has been rated here). The scheme is run by the local authority and we were inspected by their Food Safety Officer who rated us on how well we meet the requirements of food hygiene law. And as you can see, we passed with flying colours!

Our First Pudding Club of 2012

Last night a great time was had by all as we celebrated our first Reeds Pudding Club of 2012. Our guests got the chance to sample (and mark!) beautiful desserts prepared by Head Chef Paul whilst also quizzing him on all aspects of preparation and cooking. Luckily we all got the recipes to take away and try to recreate the lovely dishes we got to taste:

  • QUEEN OF PUDDINGS
  • CHOCOLATE FONDANT PUDDING
  • DATE, WALNUT & TOFFEE PUDDING WITH TOFFEE SAUCE
  • STRAWBERRY, PASSION FRUIT & LYCHEE ROULADE

And the winning dessert was? You’ll just have to come along to the next Pudding Club to find out!

The next Reeds Pudding Club will be held on Friday May 18th (starting at 7pm) when we have challenged Paul to create four gluten free desserts as part of Coeliac UK’s Gluten-Free Challenge Week! Whether you have special dietary needs or not, come along and join us for a fun night out with delectable desserts (including a freshly prepared mains course too!) and the chance to receive special offers for only £19.99 per person. Contact Us to book your places.
